The Hillebrand lamp, Mod. A7200, designed by Ernst Igl in 1959 for Egon Hillebrand's Leuchtenfabrik Neheim-Hüsten, marked a shift in the company's history. Founded in 1881 by Egon Hillebrand, it initially produced household items and kerosene lamps. Later, with the involvement of Franz and Egon Jr., they transitioned to electrical lighting. In the 1950s, their collaboration with Ernst Igl and the use of innovative materials like perforated sheet metal revitalized their lighting range. Despite going bankrupt in 1995, the Hillebrand lamp from 1959 remains a testament to their legacy in lighting design.
